To be valiant; as with the Heart of a Lion-II Samuel 17:10a
The wicked man flees though no one pursues, but the Righteous are as Bold as a Lion-Proverbs 28:1
Tenacity. Dedication. Humility. Brokenness. Whole-Heartedness. These are some of the characteristics of the Lionheart. He is not passive, he is not complacent, and he is not satisfied with 'how things have always been'. He is valiant. He runs after and pursues Jesus with all that he has. He stops at nothing until he attains all that God has for him. He denies the pleasures of his body and of this world in order to get after Jesus. He crucifies himself daily to become more like Christ. His goals are to be open to the will of God, to step into God’s direction and plan.
His prayer is: “Remove everything that is wrong with me, and replace it with what is right with you. Give me the strength, courage, and passion to run hard after you--for you are the sole reason for my existence. May I 'Be Jesus' to others around me. May I be valiant, and run hard after You no matter what the cost."

These are the thoughts and wrestlings of Josh Heyward.
Josh is a fifth year senior at Clemson University. After studying engineering for four years, Jesus told him to pursue career of full-time ministry. Turning his back on engineering, he sought to pursue a degree in Religious Studies at Clemson. Upon graduation, he plans to attend Bible School/Seminary and/or seek out a full-time ministry opportunity. It is his goal to run hard after God and seek Him with his whole heart. It is his passion to see others radically changed through the pure awesomeness of Jesus Christ.
